Visit to Bokaro, Jharkhand

Published by Gospel under General

By the grace of Almighty God we had a wonderful opportunity to visit our brothers and sister in Bokaro along with our Pastor. Daniel. I truly thank my Pas. Daniel for giving us this great opportunity. We stayed there for 2 night and three days. Sis. Deepa, Bro. Fela, Pas.Rama and I depart from Kolkata on 8 June 08 at 6:05 am. I was very nervous and a bit scared too because it was a day just after 2 days strike. We were supposed to leave on the previous day but due to strike in the city we are forced to poseponed our ticket on the next day. As we were waiting for the train in Howrah station, Pas. Rama was standing beside me, it was already 6:30 but no signal and no annoucement of the train. I was very much worried, I asked him Pastor what would happen now? Shall we not be able to go? He answered me ” Gospel, don’t worry. Trust in the LORD. He who can make way for billions of stars in heaven, it is just nothing for HIM to make a way for three of us to go to Bokaro. Wait for HIS timing. If you worry it means looking Jesus at His eyes and saying Jesus I don’t believe you”. Though we were unable to go on that day, but God open the door on the next day ……….all I have to do was just trusting and waiting on HIM.

Below are some of the pics taken in Bokaro. Pas.Rama is with a black hat.

A Faithful Friend

Published by Gospel under General

Psalm 36:5
Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Psalm 89:1
I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 92:2
To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

Psalm 36:7
How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Psalm 63:3
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Psalm 92:2
To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

We have all failed God many times and in many ways in our life. But His faithfulness and lovingkindness for us never decrease. The above verses are the songs of David declaring how faithful and kind is our God. He is a faithful God and our most faithful friend. Praises be the LORD.

To Be Like Jesus

Published by Gospel under General

Philippians 3: 12 - 16“12Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

16Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.”

“To be like Jesus, to be like Jesus

On earth I long to be like Him

All through life’s journey

From earth to Glory

I only ask to be like HIM”

This is an Old hymn taken from our Zion Youth Bible Study Material. Last night while solving some of my Bible Study Lesson, I found out the real meaning of JOY and what’s the purpose of our existing in this world. I just like to share it with you all, Friends.

It is not enough just to be a so-called or just existing Christian. I think that’s the reason Why we sometimes still feel lonely, rejected, depress and left out by God. True Christian are those who follow Jesus everyday. Becoming a Christian is not enough, we must do it. We must have to be busy, busy for God. Sharing, loving, caring for others so that they too can experience the real joy. JOY - in Christian life comes when we have the right priorities:

J - Jesus first

O - Others second

Y - Yourself third

We are created in the image of God Himself and His purpose for us is to be like HIM so that we can dwell with HIM eternally. So, as my Bible Lesson teaches me, I want to  ask  to every Christ Lover, let the purpose of our life be to please and live for Jesus so that we can have a real JOY. God Bless U

Falling in HIS love

Published by Gospel under General

“Jesus is the rose of Saron and the lily of the Valley. He is more beautiful than anything. Though I am small but God choose me just as I am to be with HIM praising and loving HIM. As the lily among the thorns, so is my love among the daughters. As the Apple tree among the tree of the wood, so is my beloved among the sons. I sat down under His shadow with a great delight and His fruit was sweet to my taste. He fills my heart with joy and when I am with HIM peace sorrounded me. He bought me to the banqueting house and his banner over me was love. Stay me with flagons, comfort me with apple, for I am sick of HIS love. His left hand is under my head, and his right hand embrace me. He is my all in all and I love to be under His arms. Thankyou Jesus for your love, grace and peace”.

This is my Love letter to Jesus taken from Songs of Solomon 2: 1 - 6

Everything to God in Prayer

Published by Gospel under General

Philippians 4:6 (King James Version) “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.”

1 Corinthians 7:5
“Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because your lack of self-control. “

It is very important for a believer to have a strong prayer life. The more we pray the stronger our prayer life will be. Prayer is the way of communicating with God, talking and making known our request to him. It is not easy to live a holy and a strong Christ-like life in this world, as we are surrounded by many things and stuff that catch out attention easily. And the things which God told us to get rid of are the one more attractive and tempting to us. But, one thing we must always know is that our God is above all things, When he said “Yes” nothing can say “No”. No matter how big and turf the temptations is, we can win over Devil by God’s strength, by summitting ourselves and everything to God, Jesus Christ in Prayer.

Let’s Dance

Published by Fela under General

music.jpg

Its Biblical that we uses all kinds of musical instruments to praise HIM. We are often bounded by our custom, culture and traditions that we forget to follow what actually the Bible tells us to do when we praise. We might not be good at singing along with the church choirs or the songleaders in the church but when we are in HIS house, we should use our body to praise Him. We can clap, shout, jump, dance.

Are we going to do that for the Lord? And that what we are practicing in our church. We need to welcome new people who are visiting the church to do the same. ITS A WONDERFUL FEELING DANCING IN PRAISE OF THE LORD.

Praise HIM

Published by Gospel under General

Psalm 34:1-10(King James Version)

“I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.

O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together.

I sought the LORD, and he heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.

This poor man cried, and the LORD heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

The angel of the LORD encampeth round about them that fear him, and delivereth them.

O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.

O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him.

The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing.”

I am very much thankful to one of my youth who downloaded some Gospel songs of Don Moen in my cell. Don Moen is one of my favourite Gospel singer. ‘Mi Corazon’ is one of my best song from his latest album “Thank Your Lord”. I didn’t know the meaning of ‘mi corazon’ but when I first heard the song, I just love the tunes and especially the chorus, that says ” My soul sings, my spirit shout, with every breadth, I’m crying out. I long to live for you alone. You have captured my heart Mi Corazon. Lord I give you my whole heart mi corazon“. Now, I finally could managed to find the meaning of mi corazon by googling. Its a Spanish word meaning ” My Heart”. I will sing of his praises untill I reach eternity and the above scripture is my new songs.

I Want to See Jesus.

Published by Gospel under General

Many times I have been reading about Jesus’ resurrection specially during Easter Sunday. Last Sunday service Pas. Daniel read out the same scripture. He talked about Mary Magdelene who went to the tomb early morning with other two women. She got an oil, an expensive oil to anoint Jesus’ body. But when they found the door of the tomb opened and inside Jesus’ body was no longer there, they all got shocked and amazed where the body has gone. They run to the disciple to tell what had happened. But we can see that Mary Magdelene returned to the tomb, wondering and weeping where is the body of Jesus. Who has taken it away? Where is Jesus? She was there just to see Jesus and nothing else. She was crying and crying.

And suddenly Jesus appeared to her, comforting her and telling her that He rose again from the dead and Why she was looking the living among the dead?

My heart felt with love and joy for my Lord Jesus, who suffered and died for me. Jesus, I am here like Mary Magdelene just longing to see you, your kindness, love and greatness everyday. I want to see you. I want to see Jesus.

You are my No.1

Published by Gospel under General

Matthew 6:33 (King James Version)

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

As the song says ” I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back”, Yes, I too have decided to follow Jesus without turning back. But it isn’t really easy by my strength alone. The experience that I had last week teached me a good lesson. There was a time when I failed to put Christ NO 1 in my life. I sometimes feed my mind with unnecessary thoughts in anger, in fear, in doubts and so on. Oh!! Why? Not again. I questioned myself. I am again putting myself before Jesus. My heart’s desire , my wishes, my life is coming before Jesus again. Though I am saying Jesus you are my NO 1, then Why am I still lost in myself??

Here come the powerful word of God from my Pas. Daniel on Sunday morning service.  I am so happy. It wasn’t easy for me to get out of my own mindset but it was not difficult for God to bring me out of it. All I have to do was just to lean on him. After preaching about putting Jesus in No 1 in our life, Pas. Daniel invited us for altar call. There he laid his hand on my head as if he knows what’s going on in my mind. He prayed for me. Once again God filled my heart with His love inspite of all my mistakes. I got no words beside saying THANK YOU Lord and I am Sorry.

I am sorry for putting myself before you.

Thankyou Lord for your powerful love that flows in me giving a new strength to trust you, to lean on you, to love you, to put you NO.1 in my life.

Matthew 19:26

“Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Acts 2:17
” ‘In the last days, God says, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your young men will see visions, your old men will dream dreams”.

God’s word is a living word. It had, is and will surely happen. Nothing can stop the word of God. And I have experience the fulfilling of His word on our crusade, where more than 200 people received the baptism of Holy Spirit. There was a flow of His spirit upon all the people whose heart were open to Him. It really makes me realized how God loves us and wants to bless us with His spirit so that we can fly to Him in His second coming and not left behind. God is Good.
