Countless Blessings

Published by Gospel under General

I can’t forget that cold night of 31st December, 2009, in our little Dum Dum church with a group of about 15 youths, gather all together at 9 pm to welcome New Year 2010 with our Pastor. As we were all praying together, I was feeling a great joy in my heart…that I can’t stop saying nothing but “Thank You, Lord” …. not only for His countless blessings in my life but for Who He IS …. and How He has choose me and  blessed me so much inspite of all my sins.

Thank You Jesus :)

Sweet Memories

Published by Gospel under General

Hi All,

It’s been a long time now I haven’t made any new entry here. Today, God has given me a wonderful time again to post some of my sweet memories of 2008. I have a lots and lots of sweet and blessed moments God gave in my life. Above all, I would like to tell you the sweetest one and that is Zion Youth ministry visits to Tura, Meghalaya last December 2008. Along with our Pastor and youth leader Sis. Agustina, we were 8 of us from Dum Dum UPC church to attend Tura UPC first Crusade ever. It was 1 and half day journey by train and sumo. More than anything else, I was touched by their humbled and receptive heart for God’s presence. God mightily used our speaker from US Bro. Clayton George. He mostly preached with his testimonies which was touching and powerful. Many people received the spirit of God for the first time.

It was nice to see them all dancing around in praise of God. And it was more pleasing to see Sis. Tina dancing more than all of us :)

Below are some of our wonderful pics of Tura, crusade …check them out :)

Take Me Out

Published by Gospel under Testemonies

What words that you find yourself usually using in times of trouble, hardship and temptation in your life?

Is it “Take Me Out, Lord”?

This is exactly what I have been asking God for a couple of weeks. I was struggling with Devil who attacked me in my weakest point. I am a kind of very emotional person, emotional struggling seems to more harder to endure (for me). I cried to God many times to take me out of this situation. I cried and cried to the Lord.

God revealed His word to me through my Youth leader who said ” Revelation in every situation”. I began to think what God is trying to reveal in this stuation? And I found the answer here Ephesians 6:10 ” Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power.”Amazingly, God did take me out of the situation not by putting me away of it, but by providing me a strength to endure. To be strong in HIM…in everything. One of my very good friend wrote to me “Keep keeping on, for His glory - His strength shows strong when we feel our weakest.”

Now God has changed my prayer, is no longer of self-pity and crying for escape. He turns it to be a strong prayer, prayer to endure, to suffer, to sacrifice and just to depend on HIM alone.

As Paul says in 2 Corinthians 2:10, “That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when Iamweak, then I am strong.”

Alleluia to Christ the Lord

Published by Gospel under General

Isaiah 40:31

“but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

Psalm 142:3

“When my spirit grows faint within me, it is you who know my way. In the path where I walk men have hidden a snare for me.”

Jeremiah 31:25

“I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.”

1 Chronicles 16:11

“Look to the LORD and his strength; seek his face always.”

Last Sunday Sis.Tina taught us a new song. I really love the song. It was sung by Indonesian youth. The Lord is on our side, we need not to fear and weary for He is our strength. He will never leave us alone and will deliver us from storm and raging sea. He is our very help in times of trouble and hardship. He alone is our Prince, Friend, Deliverer, Saviour and all in all. He is our living hope when our hopes seems out of sight, a very bright light when we are in darkness. To You Jesus, We turned, when we have no where else to turn to. I will lift my hands and worship you as long as I am alive. Praise You Jesus.

“I will lift my heart and sing

I will worship you my King

Earth and heaven now proclaim

Jesus Christ the mighty name

Through the storm and raging sea

I will never be alone

When my hopes seems out of sight

I know you will shine your light

Alleluia

Alleluia

Alleluia

Alleluia to Christ the Lord. “

They are Watching You

Published by Gospel under General

Few weeks back, I happened to meet one lady in the bus when I was on my way to office. She sat beside me and asked whether I know Poonam. Poonam is one of my friend. I told her “Yes, I know her. But how come you know about that?”. She said Poonam is her friend too and she used to talk about me to her. And then we started having conversation. She said that she has seen me many times in that bus and in the metro as she used to travel in that same bus and metro. She could even remember some of my dresses, the way I dressed, my hairstyle and lots more. I was really surprised when she mentioned about my green color top that I love to wear.

I thought no body is noticing me or may be they don’t bother about me. But I was wrong, they do. They are watching us, watching you and me. We may be small in the Worldly eyes, but we are very precious in the eyes of GOD. We must be very careful in our every step of life, our behaviour, attitude towards others, the way we dressed, our way of talking everything, people are searching and expecting something good from us and in the meantime they are trying to catch us commiting something wrong too.

As it is said “Action speaks louder than words”.

Lord, let your power control me everyday to do what you want me to do and to say what you want me to say. I want to glorify your name in all the way I am, just for your Glory.

Matthew 26:41

“Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the body is weak.”

Mark 13:5

”Jesus said to them: “Watch out that no one deceives you.”

Luke 21:36

”Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen, and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.”

Acts 20:28

”Keep watch over yourselves and all the flock of which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers. Be shepherds of the church of God, which he bought with his own blood.”

1 Timothy 4:16

”Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers”

Visit to Bokaro, Jharkhand

Published by Gospel under General

By the grace of Almighty God we had a wonderful opportunity to visit our brothers and sister in Bokaro along with our Pastor. Daniel. I truly thank my Pas. Daniel for giving us this great opportunity. We stayed there for 2 night and three days. Sis. Deepa, Bro. Fela, Pas.Rama and I depart from Kolkata on 8 June 08 at 6:05 am. I was very nervous and a bit scared too because it was a day just after 2 days strike. We were supposed to leave on the previous day but due to strike in the city we are forced to poseponed our ticket on the next day. As we were waiting for the train in Howrah station, Pas. Rama was standing beside me, it was already 6:30 but no signal and no annoucement of the train. I was very much worried, I asked him Pastor what would happen now? Shall we not be able to go? He answered me ” Gospel, don’t worry. Trust in the LORD. He who can make way for billions of stars in heaven, it is just nothing for HIM to make a way for three of us to go to Bokaro. Wait for HIS timing. If you worry it means looking Jesus at His eyes and saying Jesus I don’t believe you”. Though we were unable to go on that day, but God open the door on the next day ……….all I have to do was just trusting and waiting on HIM.

Below are some of the pics taken in Bokaro. Pas.Rama is with a black hat.

A Faithful Friend

Published by Gospel under General

Psalm 36:5
Thy mercy, O LORD, is in the heavens; and thy faithfulness reacheth unto the clouds.

Psalm 89:1
I will sing of the mercies of the LORD for ever: with my mouth will I make known thy faithfulness to all generations.

Psalm 92:2
To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

Psalm 36:7
How excellent is thy lovingkindness, O God! therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of thy wings.

Psalm 63:3
Because thy lovingkindness is better than life, my lips shall praise thee.

Psalm 92:2
To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night.

We have all failed God many times and in many ways in our life. But His faithfulness and lovingkindness for us never decrease. The above verses are the songs of David declaring how faithful and kind is our God. He is a faithful God and our most faithful friend. Praises be the LORD.

To Be Like Jesus

Published by Gospel under General

Philippians 3: 12 - 16“12Not as though I had already attained, either were already perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.

13Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

15Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you.

16Nevertheless, whereto we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us mind the same thing.”

“To be like Jesus, to be like Jesus

On earth I long to be like Him

All through life’s journey

From earth to Glory

I only ask to be like HIM”

This is an Old hymn taken from our Zion Youth Bible Study Material. Last night while solving some of my Bible Study Lesson, I found out the real meaning of JOY and what’s the purpose of our existing in this world. I just like to share it with you all, Friends.

It is not enough just to be a so-called or just existing Christian. I think that’s the reason Why we sometimes still feel lonely, rejected, depress and left out by God. True Christian are those who follow Jesus everyday. Becoming a Christian is not enough, we must do it. We must have to be busy, busy for God. Sharing, loving, caring for others so that they too can experience the real joy. JOY - in Christian life comes when we have the right priorities:

J - Jesus first

O - Others second

Y - Yourself third

We are created in the image of God Himself and His purpose for us is to be like HIM so that we can dwell with HIM eternally. So, as my Bible Lesson teaches me, I want to  ask  to every Christ Lover, let the purpose of our life be to please and live for Jesus so that we can have a real JOY. God Bless U
